Society of Hometown Historians (SHH)
A mysterious trunk arrived at one of our partner schools delivered by an elusive group calling themselves the Society of Hometown Historians - a secret society dedicated to preserving the untold and often overlooked small town stories that get left out of the history books. The trunk contained a series of historical artifacts, an old journal from a member of SHH, and a cryptex. Entrusted with these valuable artefacts and the important task of delving deeper into their own local history, the students saved SHH and its mission from disappearing and celebrated the stories of their town.
“I can say, without hesitation, this was one of the best experiences I had over my 30 year career. The entire school “buzzed” for three days, the energy, engagement and excitement was very high and I felt that it was an enormous success.”
“So N- was just telling my parents about SHH and everything going on for the last two days and the excitement in her voice was amazing!! She is SO into this. She said “I just love history!!””
