Single Thread Education - Auditions

Single Thread Theatre Company is inviting submissions of interest for two artist educators to perform in their upcoming Single Thread Education production.

Production location:

Online; preferred for performers to reside within Ontario (all performances will take place in EST during school hours).

Agreement:

Non-Union, Project fee of $1240 for combined 2 weeks of the collaborator’s time

Single Thread Education is looking for NON-UNION collaborators for their upcoming immersive theatrical experience, which will be performed virtually for a partner elementary school (K-grade 6) over three days this fall (exact dates to be confirmed).

Single Thread invites applicants with interest and previous experience in Theatre for Young Audiences or Arts Education for this opportunity, as well as those who are under the age of 35.

Rehearsals and performances will take place virtually. While Single Thread will work with collaborators to schedule rehearsals around other commitments, please note that performances will take place during school hours.

Please submit a headshot, resume, and cover letter as a single PDF file.

Your resume and cover letter should outline your interest and experience in Arts Education, Theatre for Young Audiences, and/or work with young people.

Send your submission to audition@singlethread.ca with your name and “Single Thread Education Submission” in the subject line.

Submissions will be accepted until September 3rd, 2021 at 11:59 PM

Successful applicants will be invited to audition over Zoom. Auditions will take place the week of September 11-17.
